Karen lives on a farm in the Blaauwklippen valley in Stellenbosch. She paints impressionistic paintings in oil and draws her inspiration from the huge trees and beautiful scenery that surrounds her.

She is also a grape farmer and that is clearly visible in her lively paintings of vineyards and people at work.

 

Karen is also a ceramic artists and her beautifully painted big vases , platters and bowls are well known. Her big ceramic studio is open for an exhibition once a year where she and her fellow artists show and sell their work.

 

She is a partner in the art gallery :Art on 5 in Stellenbosch.
